Once upon a time I had an old CBR600F, of a similar era to the VTR, and I couldn't help but be reminded of my old Supersport sensation when astride the Firestorm. Just like my old CBR6, the clocks were whoppingly big and analogue, the steering was light and un-damped, and the switchgears were square and chunky.

Vtr1000f is known to drink alot of fuel, although the later models have the 19 litre tank which I have. I easily get over 200kms per tank which is great. Bike performs well, good amounts of torque between 4-8rpm which is where street riders sit at. Bike doesn't have any top end compared to these sports bikes however will keep up to one from 0-100.
